Polish presidential aide Marcin Przydacz said on Fox Business on Monday that Poland's President Karol Nawrocki had briefed US President Donald Trump on last week’s drone incursion and that Warsaw was “100 percent certain” the breach was a deliberate Russian provocation.

“President Nawrocki conveyed all the details to President Trump,” Przydacz told the network.

Przydacz, who is Nawrocki's top foreign policy adviser, said "21 Russian drones" entered Polish airspace during the overnight attack, insisting they “did not end up in Poland by mistake.”

Polish authorities have been investigating debris from the incident, which unfolded amid a Russian airstrike on Ukraine.

He argued the incursion was a test of NATO’s response, adding that the United States and other allies have shown solidarity with Poland and that a strong, unified reaction would deter repeats.

NATO allies have reinforced air policing on the alliance’s eastern flank following the breach.

Przydacz also warned about a Russian disinformation operation around the incident, citing false claims circulating online that the drones were Ukrainian or Belarusian.

\He urged “precision” in sharing verified details as the investigation continues.

Asked whether Poland expects war with Russia, Przydacz said Warsaw does not want war, but must be prepared, including through ongoing purchases of US equipment to strengthen defenses.

The Polish official endorsed Trump’s appeal for Europe to halt purchases of Russian oil and gas.

Trump has pressed NATO countries to stop buying Russian crude and signaled he could tie new US sanctions to such a step.

Poland’s state-owned energy giant Orlen says it ended its last remaining Russian oil contract in June, completing its exit from Russian crude as the European Union’s embargo on seaborne imports remains in force.
